Queen's remembers Professor Emeritus Ronald R. Price

Professor Ronald R. Price was a trailblazer in Canadian correctional law and a beloved member of the ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ Faculty of Law. In 1973, he founded the Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s Correctional Law Project, a ground-breaking initiative that provided legal assistance to inmates in Kingston-area penitentiaries. Under his supervision, law students gained hands-on experience advocating for incarcerated individuals. His legacy continues today through the Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s Prison Law Clinic. After Professor Price ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s retirement in 1996, he developed the Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s Law Students’ Mediation Service in 1997, and co-founded the Mediation Centre of Southeastern Ontario in 2001.
. A public visitation will take place at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, Ontario on Friday August 15, 2025, starting at 1:00pm until 2:50pm. The family welcomes guests to offer condolences during this time.
