Gaels lead the way at CIBC Run for the Cure

Queen 国产传媒 鈥檚 student-athletes participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure the weekend of Oct. 1-2, with the Gaels two fundraising teams finishing first and second for the Kingston area, while raising a combined total of more than $50,000.
The Queen's men 国产传媒 鈥檚 rugby team raised $37,568.26, while a team of mixed varsity athletes from Queen's raised $12,463.55 in support of finding a cure for breast cancer.
The men 国产传媒 鈥檚 rugby program has entered a fundraising team into the CIBC Run for the Cure on an annual basis and is consistently one of the top fundraisers for the cause.
This year, the Varsity Leadership Council (VLC) also organized a team of Queen 国产传媒 鈥檚 student-athletes from the rest of the Gaels varsity teams and varsity clubs to compete with men 国产传媒 鈥檚 rugby, with a goal of raising $10,000.
Earlier at Queen 国产传媒 鈥檚, Saturday, Sept. 24 was 鈥淭hink Pink鈥 day in support of breast cancer awareness. A number of games hosted at Queen 国产传媒 鈥檚, including football, men 国产传媒 鈥檚 and women 国产传媒 鈥檚 soccer and men 国产传媒 鈥檚 and women 国产传媒 鈥檚 rugby, had players and fans alike don pink attire.
