Alfred Bader: Celebration of an extraordinary life

Alfred Bader, BSc’45, BA’46, Msc’47, LLD’86, died on December 23 at the age of 94. Dr. Bader ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s connection to Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s spanned more than 70 years. The generosity of Dr. Bader and his wife Isabel Bader, LLD’07, transformed Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s in countless ways. As Principal Daniel Woolf has noted, Dr. Bader ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s legacy at Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s "will live on in future generations who will be enriched by his profound love for this university."

Tiny idea a big winner for student team

Four master ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s students in the School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP) at ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ have won the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) challenge to bring fresh and innovative ideas to creating affordable rental housing in Canada.
