Thrive is a week-long events series aimed at building positive mental health and wellness through discussion, learning, skill development, and resource sharing. This year ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s events focus on the key concepts of happiness and joy.

- Description: Our brains are wired for survival, which creates a natural tendency to focus on and be motivated by negative thought patterns like criticism, pain, and danger. Self-compassion training helps educators understand and transform these habitual responses and develop the ability to motivate with compassion rather than self-criticism. The science shows – and through our work we, can see – that self-compassion has a significant positive impact on educator well-being, resilience, and stress management. Practicing self-compassion involves taking action and making positive changes in our lives. Through this process, we see people reconnecting with their deep motivation and excitement for helping others.
