Interested in learning about the practice of medicine within correctional settings? We would like to invite you to our first event, “Caring in Confinement: A Physician Correctional Medicine Panel”. Join us for a discussion on healthcare delivery, continuity of care, and health equity in correctional settings.
The goal of the session is to expand students’ understanding of healthcare delivery for incarcerated populations, a group that is consistently underserved and experiences disproportionate burdens. Through facilitated discussion, students will learn about clinical experiences in correctional healthcare. Physicians will speak with Queen ąú˛ú´«Ă˝ ’s medical students about the unique challenges and responsibilities associated with providing care in secure environments.
