David Card is a labor economist, best known for his  research on minimum wages, immigration, education, and  inequality. He received his BA in 1978 from Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s  University and his PhD from Princeton.  In 1995, he received the American Economics Association ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s (AEA) John Bates Clark Prize, awarded to the economist under 40 who has made the most  significant contribution to the field. He was President of the AEA in 2021, and co-recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in  Economics in 2021.
