Initiative Campaign

Thanks to the collective dedication and generosity of Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s volunteers and donors, more than $640 million has been donated to ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ during the Initiative Campaign, which concluded on April 30, 2016.

Surpassing the university ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s $500 million goal set at the beginning of the campaign, the support of more than 60,000 donors – 35,000 of which were alumni â€“ has furthered the university ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s top priorities in teaching and research.

More than $85 million was invested in scholarships and bursaries to help make a Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s education accessible to an increasing number of talented students, and 625 student awards and 23 chairs and professorships have been created to assist students in reaching their full potential while studying at Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s

"This is a proud moment in Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s history.
The university is enormously grateful to all of our volunteers and donors who recognize the value of a Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s education, and have invested in making one of Canada ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s top universities even better."

Daniel Woolf
Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s Principal and Vice Chancellor

Over the coming months, Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s will take time to thank volunteers, donors, alumni, faculty, students and staff who supported and contributed to the Initiative Campaign over the past 10 years, and will share how this historic campaign will impact our campus community and beyond.

We hope the excitement created by the Initiative Campaign, and what it has and will make possible, continues to inspire the spirit of initiative and the spirit of giving in support the university ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s programs and people.
