Daria graduated from Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s with a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree in 2011 and a Master of Public Health degree in 2020. As a Kingstonian and University Councillor, she remains deeply connected to Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s, applying her education to promote health-care equity and social justice in the community she calls home.
A rising leader in health care and politics, Daria has distinguished herself as a clinician, manager, and advocate both in Canada and internationally. Her dedication has earned her numerous accolades, including Kingston ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s Mayor ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s Award for Youth Volunteerism and Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s Hub Fellowship. Most recently, she was nominated as the federal NDP candidate for Kingston and the Islands, emphasizing her commitment to systemic change beyond clinical settings. Passionate about advocating for underserved populations, Daria has also chaired Health Providers Against Poverty Kingston and serves as a director on several local boards.
Her education at Queen ¹ú²ú´«Ã½ ’s laid the foundation for her impactful work in health-care management, policy development, and community advocacy – work that continues to evolve as she champions meaningful change for all Canadians.
